Bhāvana School 200hr Yoga Teacher Training

A teacher training is the beginning of your transition from student to teacher. Deepen your yoga knowledge and asana practice while learning more about your body and the philosophy of yoga.

Those who embark on this year-long journey will find their lives transformed in unexpected ways. With teachings from the yoga path and other traditions as a platform for living, we will uncover/discover our own individual path to live more fully, directly, joyfully, intentionally, and capably.  

This program is filled with skill building. You will come to understand and embody the practice in a way that can be used daily. The work you do is intended to go beyond simply teaching yoga — it asks you to live with intention always, whether as a parent, at work, or as a leader in the community, as a greater service to the world. We will focus particularly on the ways personal choices enhance a service orientation and potentiate a natural expression of leadership. 

Our unique format allows for a high degree of on-going personal mentorship. The training includes Quarters 1 & 3 of our Living Yoga Series, ensuring that our studies extend far beyond Asana and integrate yogic practices and philosophies deep into our everyday living. The monthly schedule offers students the opportunity to connect in community (whether virtually or in-person) and to practice teaching yoga and leading meditation often, finding their voice and getting familiar with guiding others in these practices. Students will:

• Study asana and anatomy extensively
• Engage with yoga as a way of living intentionally, always
• Learn to help others develop a relationship with their own spiritual path
• Receive a foundational 200hr Yoga Alliance teaching certificate

Bhāvana School yoga training is intended for all types of people from all walks of life who want to take a leadership role in their community, bring this wisdom into daily experiences, and use with others in life from work to family.
